What I did when I was learning this was I put my front foot on bolts and my back in a normal 180 stance and I just let my arms be rag dolls. After a few trys you get them to not spin out of control and the rest from there should be cake . also remember never use your legs its all in the shoulder movement

Jump strait up

Hang your toes off the board a little and cover the deck with your shoe. It will help give you much more control.

Put your front toes over the edge to help push back after you get air
Make sure to twist your shoulders enough that your legs will follow the board
Keep your legs straight and commit to land it!
It happend to me alot try not to have your backfoot to much to the side and more in the middle not in the middle but just a bit to the side
Practice
I had the same problem, for me I was sort of swinging the board around and it would flip out from under me. So rather than kicking it out it’s more of a twisting motion.
Pop the board with your ankle and pop straight down. Try to center your toes on the middle of the tail.
