It wasn't a problem before I fell down and hurt my knee, now even if everything is alright can't make myself do it again. Any suggestions?

The same thing happned to me on my first bowl. The key to skatebording is confidence and knowing how to fall. If you are about to fall off of your board when dropping in, you should either bail and slide on your knees, (only if you are wearing knee pads) or lean towards the back of your board and put your foot on the end of your tail, push down and let the tail scrape against the ramp. This method saved me many times.

Confidence just try on a small birdbath bowl. Once you have it down pad up go back to the bowl you got hurt in and drop in

I have exactly the same problem. It was my shoulder I hurt real bad. Got me, baby steps is the only way. 2 foot transition, 3 foot transition 5 foot roll in. That's as far as I have got so far . Basically if you want to go it you need to trick your brain into thinking it's not doing anything more dangerous GSM it has already done . Good luck

Start on something small, pad up..inc helmet.
Then gradually build up. I started skating a year ago...at 41. Never stood on board before. Can now drop in from 7ft. Had a few falls but nothing too painfull.
You can do it!

Its hard to but you just got to commit and forget about what happened. There's nothing else to it

Basically just imagine that teacher that u hate most face on the ramp and slam down your wheels onto them then roll away

Just lean forward and put your whole body weight on the board and just commit to the trick Do NOT just stomp on the board cus ur board will go forward but your body will be behind causing you to fall

Keep your Hands in front of you, and wear gloves and Kneepads, then try again, you will do it👍🏼

I've felt the same way, what has helped me is to drop in to the point where your wheels hit then bail, do this until you get used to it just know that gravity is on your side

if you have pads I would strongly agree to use them and of course use a helmet if you don't have then things don't worry. now the most important thing when dropping in is to get the front wheels to touch the ramp as quick as you can this can be done by slamming and and remember to lean in not to much but just a little. If this still didn't work try practising flat and the motion of it. but still didn't work try tighten your trucks. and of course the most important thing COMMIT have a good day 😎

Get someone to hold your hands. That will give you confidence to make the drop. When the person is barely even stabalizing you anymore do it on your own with a helmet for the first time.
