Alright, there can be a number of things going on. First, I recommend a solid Ollie while moving, and pop shuvits and 180s will help you too. Here's a tip. Try flicking your front foot outward instead of straight down. Trust me, it seems like the board will flip slower, but it will make that front foot stay in the air for the catch. Hope I helped!

ok I had the same problem so this is what helped me: just focus on watching your front foot and making it go where it is supposed to. your back foot will follow. also, look up on YouTube professionals doing kickflips. watch those over and over again until it is stuck in your head. then, go out and try a kickflip, with the image of the pros doing it in your head. trust me, when you finally get it down, it's the best feeling in the world. good luck.

You may be flicking down which is where you flick and your front foot will land on the ground first. Try throwing g your backfoot off and land it with you front foot. Think of it as a ninja kick and flick straight up and try to hold your front foot up as lo g as u can.
Until u get it down.

Just pop the board quickly and as soon as you pop it lift up your board don't keep your back foot on the skateboard when you pop because you want your Backfoot to be over the board when you pop then flick

If you watch my third latest post, you will see me have a similar problem. My front foot goes way too far out and I cannot bring it back in. I experimented and found that putting more weight on my front foot and jumping off it naturally helped my flick and keeping my front foot close to the board. Now watch my two latest posts and see how well it worked after jumping more off my front foot.

That means you’re jumping ahead of the board or you’re flicking down. Remember just cause you get a good flip doesnt always mean you’re flicking up. I recommend recording yourself and if you see it, then everytime you attempt this trick try bringing up your knees to your chest, dont be scared!!!

Just keep doing it til it happens. Then repeat

Try holding on to a table
Your probably kicking down instead of out causing your foot to go toward the ground.
Simple answer, body central bend your knees and make sure your flipping of to the side and not out in front

Ur prob flicking down, focusbon kicking ur foot outward and keeping ur shoulders straight
U are just afraid o landing, tryna concentrate to the landing front foot
Try holding on to something so that you can have more time to land on your board and once you can do that just try it on flat
You are most likely flicking down. It happened with me to. Practice the proper flicking motion.
Flick down
