I can do a manny but only for like 3 seconds. Does anyone know any ways of staying balanced?

Just practice. More practice

A good way to practice is to find an empy parking lot. Start by trying to manual a while parking spot, line to line, then after you get used to the spot just increase the distance using the lines. Work on your core and legs too

Try not to flail your upper body around mid manny, you throw yourself off balance, just focus on your weight distribution

Practice practice practice....just like with anything the more you do it the better you will become. Even more so with Mannys because every person has their own sweet spot, what's good for one person won't necessarily be good for another. For me when I started I just would bend my back leg and lift up on the front. The other skaters who answered are all correct as well, don't flail your arms and try to practice in an empty park ing lot. Good luck, happy skating

I usually put my front square rift behind all 4 bolts on the front truck and my back foot square on the edge of the tail. Lean back slightly but keep a little weight forward on that front foot, not too much or your front end will touch back down. The rest is all practicing balance and getting comfortable with balancing and riding on 2 wheels

Try to extend your back leg, keep it straight and control the balance with you front leg

Use your arms for balance and to shift your weight and if it isn't already, lower your back foot to the bottom half of the tail

Maybe you can start by trying to balance the skate in grass or a carpet. When you got that mastered move to concrete. Worked for me

Pratique le pendant longtemps et sa viendra
you need of practice and get balanced with your harms can help, another advance is to put the foot next to the nose in the same position when you slide
Keep your front foot on the middle of the board and practice this
Bend your knees and put your hands up, it helped me
Lean backwards with the manny
Try bending knees more
Don’t be afraid to throw your arms up in the air
lean back with your shoulders and if the nose starts to come down early shift the board forward
Keep your front foot just behind the bolts and your back foot in the pocket and it will help you stay balanced
Try to stay center and don’t throw your body in jerks try to stay smooth at first I would just jump up and go into it to fast that jerk would make me fly forwards or backwards so when I took it slow and smooth I could hold it much longer. Keep practicing!
