I cant seem to get step 3 right. After I cross my feet I fall off the board or walk off when I bring my front foot back to the front, help?

Bend your knees, face your fear, keep the balance. Lastly, have fun! :D ( Carving really helps ;) )

For the fist time try to stand not on the 90 degrees to deck but on the 45.

Thanks. A friend pointed out that I lean forward when I cross my feet. I stood up straight and got it. Now I just need to make it more fluid when I get back to my starting position.

Try to do shorter steps ...
Well I learnt to put your next step when you're almost losing the equilibrium, then you put your next foot .

Try starting closer to the end of your board it sounds like your starting to far forward but you have to find a good balance or you will end up with the front of your board flying upwards

When you are ready to do the crosstep take your front foot as closer as possible to your back foot (make sure to distribute your weight between the legs so you can't fall off the board), and after this you perform short and quick steps. When you realise you're going to fall, put the feet in the correct position and keep the equilibrium ;)
Make sure your feet are as far back as possible in your board then for your first step make your front foot at 45 then itll be easier to cross feet and. Make sure you dont clip your heel with your front foot. I always fell by doing that
It important to find a speed were your comfortable doing the trick, craving drastically helps, also try to slow down, focus, and relax, the whole trick should feel like a crisp, clean movement and is harder to complete while you're tensed up.
Wow, lots of good advice. I've been doing decently with it now. I just need to get better at carving as I do it.
yes u find this helpful sometimes as well
Put you wieght onto your back foot and try again :) never give up
Try to drive on each foot for 50 meters and than try again d)
Practice on the ground and than get on the Board
Just do shorter steps sticking ur foot to have place to finish the cross !
Try cross stepping on the ground with out moving foward then do the same on your board. You're most likely not give yourself enough room to continue the crosstep
Bend ur knees and just crosstep that's it, it's all about practice
A great way to practice is by either having a really nice carving board or get your longboard and tighten the trucks and practice the movement in the grass. Stay balanced over the board.
Practice riding with your back foot in the position it will land when you cross your feet. You need to get used to control your balance with your back foot.
in this way you can try the 45° stand, it will feel more like a peter pan but still cross step
