How should I put foot on the board? Parallel or at an angel to the movement? If parallel - there is more difficult to balance.

Parallel while pushing, and angled while coasting. Swivel your foot between actions

When longboarding, I usually keep my front foot Parallel, and my back foot on an angle. Only when I need balance or I don’t need to push for a bit do I switch my front foot to an angle too. But if you’re doing the one foot balance, then defiantly keep your front foot parallel.

Ultimately, parallel. Because the point of one foot balance is to prepare your body to either push with your back foot or maybe foot brake. And when you wanna do those two you want your front foot parallel. Just imagine pushing or braking with an angled front foot, its more dangerous and parallel is safer.

Your foot should be turned parallel to your movement, similar to the stance in which you would use to push.

Angled stance gives you more balance control
Keep it straight, if it’s at a angle your feet will get used to the position and you will develop a bad habit
Parallel when you push and angled when you get on and when you are doing the trick twist it so it is parallel
