A Puneta performed in back to sail position.
How do it
This is a Puneta performed in back to sail position. Invented and named by Ricardo Campello.
1.
Gain speed, find an area of flat water, bear away and go into switch.
2.
Now turn your back to the sail. To do that, grab your clew hand close to the sail and bend your elbow. Turn your body windward and grab the boom with your other hand behind your back.
3.
To stabilize your stance, extend your mast arm, bend your clew arm and back leg, and look in the direction of movement.
4.
Release your clew hand and pop off. Rotate around the mast, bending your back leg.
5.
Once the nose touches the water, re‑grab the boom on the opposite side of the sail. Lean towards the center of the board, extending your back leg and bending your front leg.
6.
When sliding, move the sail windward, but don't push with your clew hand. Complete the trick just like you would a Puneta 360 or 540.
