Board reach. Sail close. Full speed. As soon as you start to press the tail for turning bring the sail toward the nose of the board, leave your front hand and with that go to take the end of the boom on the same side. Now leave the other hand (you’re passing under the sail base) and pull very hard the sail toward the tail to get it to the normal position (one movement). While you’re pulling the sail back you can switch the feet. Don’t have too hurry to pull the sail back (but don’t be too late).

Faster in terms of higher entry speed or faster duck with a more radical carve? In terms of radical carving the duckjibe is no different than a powerjibe or a speed jibe you can choose yourself. However just make sure that you cross over with your initial front hand all the way back to the clew, pull extremely „back“ so that you can get the boom with the new front hand all the way forward! All this must be completed before you pass through the wind!
