A combination of the Shove-it and Flaka, hanging and turning 180° in the air, landing and completing the other 180 by sliding.
How do it
One of the most popular tricks among freestylers everywhere. Invented and named by venezuelan Ricardo Campello, 3-x freestyle world champion. It’s a mix of the Shove-it and Flaka, hanging and turning 180 degrees in the air, landing and completing the other 180 by sliding.
1.
Pick up speed in halfwind direction, release your harness, keeping your body over the board and your knees bent. Begin to bear up towards a wave or chop, pushing down on your heels and closing the sail.
2.
To jump, push off by extending your legs and moving the nose into the wind. Use your mast hand to move the sail into the wind, shifting your clew hand. While leaning over the sail, keep it back and press down with both hands.
3.
Turn your head in the direction of rotation. To loose power in the sail, bend your clew arm. Bring your back leg under the clew. Continue turning the sail windward, extending your mast arm and shifting your clew arm.
4.
When landing, bend your knees, tilt your body towards the nose and complete the rotation by sliding, as when doing a Flaka or Upwind 360. Bring the clew over the wind line. To stop the slide, open the sail and point it forward, in the direction of movement.
