A trick with a 360° horizontal rotation when the first 180° is a jump rotation with boom swap, while the second 180 is a slide with a sail flip.
How do it
A trick that revolutionized freestyle — the first windsurfing trick with a 360 horizontal rotation, invented and showcased by Josh Stone, the father of modern freestyle. The first 180 is a jump rotation with boom swap, while the second 180 is a slide with a sail flip.
1.
Pick up speed, select some chop and prepare to jump a Vulcan. Shift your weight over the board. Launch downwind, extending your mast arm. Pull up your back leg. Release your clew hand and grab the boom on the opposite side. Land, extending your back leg and holding your body over the center of the board.
2.
Bend your clew hand, bend forward and direct the sail windward with your straight mast hand to aid your slide rotation. Do not push the sail with your clew hand! Wait until the board turns 180 degrees.
3.
Release the clew, flip the sail and grab the boom on the other side.
