Backroll

A heelside release where the board rotates nose over tail.
How do it
The heelside backrole is one of the easiest wakeboard flips you can do. This is the first heelside flip you should be attempting.
1.
Go in hard and wide.
2.
Slightly shift your weight onto your rear foot.
3.
Immediately after pushing off, throw your shoulders and head upwards and to the right (or to the left if you’re regular). Keep in mind that the backroll is a sideways rotation, a cartwheel, so keep your body in a single plane.
4.
Draw your knees up to your chest and keep both hands on the handle.
5.
You will only spot your landing at the very last moment, so as soon as you see water, release your rear hand and straighten out slightly, guaranteeing yourself a softer landing.
