Sliding down the slope on the toe edge of your snowboard, facing uphill.
How do it
Up to this point, all of the exercises were performed facing forward on the heel edge. Now it’s time to learn the toe edge. Nothing to fear here, just give it a shot.
1.
Start the exercise with your back to the slope. Get up off your knees and into a toe stance, onto your toe edge. To hold your balance, keep your weight strictly over the board. Keep your knees bent and balance with your hips.
2.
Now it’s time to learn the toe slide. When you lower your heels, you accelerate, when you shift onto your toes, you brake. Make sure your weight stays in the center of the board.
3.
To keep your direction in check, look over your front shoulder.
4.
You can also try shifting your weight onto one foot. This determines the direction of movement. Try both feet. Try to always look in the direction of movement.
