How do you stay on the rail without sliding off? Almost every time I attempt to do rails, I slide off.

center the rail under your boots and try to be as 90 degrees as possible. leaning slightly forward helps too. confidence will help

When you jump on the rail you must jump on it with middle of skis (where your boots are) otherwise you slide of the rail. Also it is very important to keep your skis flat to the rail because it may hook and you will fall to one or other side. I think best to start on rails is to go and try without skis (at least instructor said so. "When you can slide all rail (not steep) without your skis you will do it with skis, if not try again without skis"

You want to stay in the center of the rail and keep your skis closer together
If the rail you're looking at staying on is not an urban style rail, while you're on your approach to the rail have one foot on either side of the rail. That way you're able too make sure you're able to have your skis centred on the rail.
Stay flat and lean forwards.
what i do is i jump up on the rail and keep my skis together and tight. this helps when doing 50-50.
Try to jump on exactly center and keep your skis together. If you are falling off, lean the other way.
Get it down on a box first. Then move on to a rail.
Stay centered on the rail. The moment you go on the right or left side you will slip off. Also, make sure to keep your skis straight, because otherwise they will split and you will fall off.
My advice is just keep trying and if it helps try having one of your skis on the rail a little bit more than the other one
Try it bow-legged first. Pushing equaling on both skis. If that doesn't work, try lip sliding and swapping too a 50/50 moving your front foot back slightly to twist
It depends how much speed you have. If you are too slow you slide off, and if your speed is too high, you will just jump over the rail. So you need to just try by your self and find the right speed for the rail😜
Try to keep your balance directly over your skis and hit the rail straight on
Try too center the rail in between your ski boots as you approach, and keep a wide stance. When you pop (pop is a very good and helpful thing to do) onto the rail turn 90 degrees onto the rail and keep your wide stance. Also make sure you bend your knees or you will slide out from under yourself if you don’t do these things. (Hope I’m not scaring anybody😂) after these steps you have to keep good balance and you will ride the rail. Good luck!
Focusing on the end of it, keeping a wide/shoulder width stance, help
Try to keep your skis as close to each other as possible, the same with your knees
Keep your weight even on both skis and keep your legs bent a bit
Also when you jump off don’t jump high or you’ll slip
Center your self
Keep ur feet as close together as possible and take some speed with it
Jump low when getting on the rail! It helps so you dont need so much power to keep your feet together.
More speed.
You just need to practice and your going to have it.
Try keeping your body upright and leaning back a bit
Try taking the rail with more speed, and make sure you get that full 90 degree rotation.
Have your feet locked together and your skis slightly overlapped
You don
You don’t come off the talk
Put ur boots under right on top of the rail
Keep your shoulders parallel with the rail and only turn your head down the slope. That will help keep your skis perpendicular to the rail and not slide off.
