A 270° spin performed onto an obstacle.
How do it
The most common spin performed onto an obstacle in jibbing. For practice, find an obstacle with a low approach. Try it out by jumping a 180 over the obstacle. Knowing how to do a backside transition will also come in handy.
1.
Push off with both feet, but rely more on the foot further away from the obstacle on entry.
2.
Fly out of the jump, begin turning your body before turning your legs. Complete the spin once you’re sure that the tips are above the obstacle.
3.
During rotation, keep your eyes on the beginning of the obstacle, not on your feet.
4.
After landing on the obstacle, rotate your body and head in the direction of movement.
5.
Have your knees presses together on exit, this way your skis will be parallel to each other in the air.
