Practice no lie backside 180's
Get that backside 180 motion on lock, roll up to the ramp on a slight angle.
I said slight not too much like you're going into a grind or to little that you're going for a rock to fakie
I like to pop a backside 180 using the momentum I get nearing thecoping, but a backside pivot works just as good and can sometimes look just as nice.

you pop your tail and turn your body in the direction you want to go in this biggest part of it is commuting I can almost garentee you that you'll get it within the first day of trying it just commit

Make sure to learn back 180s and then do it to a stall on a quarter pipe
