Whenever I try and do one, my body turns around but my board flies out in front of me

I got the best tip from a friend and it came so naturally after. Have your front foot, slightly over the edge of the board and when you go to slide that foot up the board just turn with your shoulders. You should find it a lot easier

When you crouch and start to spring up for the pop, start to unwind ur shoulders at a moderate pace ( you will eventually find ur pace with experimenting)
POP STRAIGHT DOWN DONT SCOOP OR SCRAPE IT
Let ur shoulders unwind till they 180
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO LET YOUR TOES HANG OFF THE EDGE A LITTLE BIT, BEHIND THE BOLTS.
if you want you can let your back foot guide the board around
Try to not lean over the board, sit like in a chair or lean back a little.

Try to get a 90 before a 180. That way it helps build board control then gradually increase the rotation. Also don't try and pop so high. I also found them easier to learn moving.

The most basic mistake is your feet placement, if your feet aren't standing on the right spot on your deck, your deck will fly away.

Don't turn your legs, just turn your shoulders

Ok keep turning your body using your shoulders and when you olie, direct your board using mostly your front foot. Try to keep your feet parallel to your shoulders but shoulders swing first than feet they should meet like have way through but ya keep practicing

If staying centered doesn't work, try jumping back like you would when doing a front shuv. Jump back and turn 180, don't jump too far back or you will end up leaning forward when you land, and you might step off. Hope this helps!

You need to do the rotation with your back shoulder instead of your front.

Try to keep your toes hanging off the end of the board. Keep your heels in the middle of the board and try to jump as high as possible

Keep the center of weight on the middle of the board

All need to do is ollie and spin yourself in the air that FS 180

What you might be doing is sliding your front foot forward which send the board forward

Turn both body and board at the same time and speed

You’re kicking out and kinda being too aggressive with the slide up of your front foot

Put you toes hanging a little from the board

It may be because your board doesn’t have a lot of grip

Lean forwards more... good luck

That used to happen to me just lean less backwards

A way I do it is what I will do is not think about about it too much I just ollie like I regularly would but when I do that I swing my arms around and let my body do the motion for me

Try to pop shorter and make little before try to make the trick big

Keep ur weight over ur front foot to control the board better

Try to slide like an ollie not kick it out

I had the same problem, what I did to fix this was to put my back foot in the middle of the tail. I know that it may seem counterproductive because you want the board to spin too, so that would mean you would put your foot closer to you on the tail, right? Nope. All that does is make you pop and push your board right from under you. I hope this helps, good luck

Try to keep your feet "glued" to the board. Push your back foot out and around while rotating, and the board will follow. Lots of time and practice, but you'll get it.
Try pulling back harder with ur front foot ONLY when u get in the air otherwise ur board will probably spin weird
Just ollie like u normally do and keep your feet still after that, untwist your shoulders at the moment u ollie and let your head go with your shoulders it might feel weird at first because u won't be able to really see the board because u can't look straight down just commit to it and you'll have it
Dude, all you need is to make an ollie, and when your board gets above the ground, spin your shoulders.
Hang the foot nearest to the nose over the edge in front of you so u can scoop the board
Just dont lean back, try to make the 180 rotation with tour shoulders over and paralel with ur board. That should help you ;D
You have to lean fowards, do not lean back
Try to lean more forward
Turn your body, then try to pop the tail when your shoulders reaches a 90° angle above the board. Then do the ollie. That's my expierence for landing this trick. Try it :)
It looks to me that you are leaning too far back.Just try to center your weight. I used to have this problem too back when I was learning them :)
It sounds like you are trying to spin before you Ollie. Ollie then twist your shoulders
Look at this as an ollie. Your feet should slide all the way up all the time and turn your shoulders! As you turn keep you feet in the sliding position until you are 180 degree turned.
Ollie when you do it and your front foot will catch on to the nose when you rotate
Stay center on your board
You really have to focus on doing the Ollie motion and completely turning ur head and shoulders. Try doing a couple of 90's and focus on landing, then really try to bring it around. You also have to be good at riding fakie.
It's all in the shoulder
Try to focus more on the pop and turning your legs, it sounds like you've got upper body rotation on lock!
Keep your feet spread out one foot must be around the bolts while your popping foot has the heel hanging out and all you do is pop the trick. If you have your foot in a different spot of the board it will move differently depending on where you have your foot
Swipe ur foot up and turn ur body at the same time
try doing an Ollie first with just a small turn... after that try turning your hands first and then when doing the full turn just make your whole body turn with your board, good luck! RIDE OR DIE
it sounds like u r leaning to far back. have ur front toes hanging off the board a lil bit, and ur ball of ur foot of ur back toes should b on the tail. wind up, spin, pop, the slide comes naturally so u don't really need to think about it. for me it feels like I'm doing a sex change when I do a fs 180 so try thinking of it that way. just commit and stick it. took me at least 3 months to start to get them consistently.
Make sure you slide your front all the way, this makes it so that your front foot will push the board when you turn your shoulders.
watch the board and let your shoulders turn before your hips
the same thing happened to me but try kicking ur front foot the opposite way
When you Ollie keep your feet near the bends of your board and turn your shoulders and your body will follow. If you have control of your board by having your feet near the bends of the board then it'll turn too
When you jump, try jumping just up straight.
I had the same problem, but then i focused on jumping just up in a straight line and turning. It will work out.
think more about the pop... if the board is flying away post rotation then it means you put enough effort into the spin, just think about a big pop and the board should stay under your feet.
Keep your front foot straight where the bolts are at and then have your back foot almost at the end of the board that way when you pop the board automatically turns a 90 and you just turn the rest
Practice getting your ollies down and your shuv it, once you have done that when you start doing it get used to your popping your ollies whilst you head is at a 90 degree angle by popping the board of your tail and moving you foot across and whilst you are doing that get the user to winding up before you pop
just put your front foot little over the edge
At first just do slight spins, maybe 90 degrees, then once you comfortable do more spin
You must turn as you Ollie and foot placement is crucial.
After you pop it into an collie just turn your body and the board will turn
It's honestly all in the shoulders and also just being committed sometimes
You can move ur hands and then is it going better
Scooot your front foot foward
Turn your shoulders first then do a 90 degree Ollie forward. Your gravity is on you front foot.
Try to do a Fs 180 shove-it and after you do it try to Ollie not so high! Good luck!!
Try to get your feet placement correct and maybe tug up your knees while you jump, it helps to get higher and you got more time to turn and hold your board.
Just think about landing on your board
Suck up your feet and finish the rotation with your body
You have to learn to control your board. And also try turning your whole body more.
Take your front foot hang it over the edge of the board 4 to 5 inches make sure your entire foot covers the bolts this helped me out take your back foot and hang your heel over the edge about 5 to 6 inches twist your shoulders like your getting ready to do a twist (depends on goofy footed or reg footed) begin popping and ollie and follow through with your shoulders practice this and you will master a bs 180.
Me too
Learn
Hhh
ok the thing is you should not turn to fast at all slow donw and as you learn go faster
Lean forward more
I skate regular, so I like to have the ball of my front foot just below the back bolts and slightly right of center, while the ball of my back foot is just slightly left of center. This helps both with the rotation and with keeping my board directly under me. Good luck!
It’s all in the shoulders. Lead with the shoulders the rest will follow
pop and slide your foot up like an ollie, remember to tuck your knees and wind your shoulders and THEN pop the ollie. The problem i had with this trick while learning it was that i wasn't actually popping an ollie and the deck was flying away, so just ollie, you got this.
