How to keep my heelflips from going behind me?

You're more than likely jumping forward without knowing it. That's what my problem was

Instead of kicking out when popping the deck, kick out after you pop. That's what helped me

Keep kicking out in front of you! Make sure the board stays directly beneath you when you kick

First try by putting your left or right foot on the bottom right/left of the tail if not that then try keeping straight then popping straight up

Make sure to kick out in front of you! keep your shoulders steady and make sure the board stays right up under your feet after you flick
try holding on to something because then your weight will be over the board
Lean back as you come up with the pop
Try to center yourself when you jump
Swipe it infront of u
Move yor popping foot closer to a front shuv position and jump straight up moving your foot back slightly helps
Lean more to your heel side
Yeah heelflips need your body weight more over the tail and heel side of the board, kinda the opposite of kickflips
Lean farther back the you have it or try to go faster
Something weird that works surprisingly well: put your back foot in a spot where you would do a front shuv... don't know why it works, it just does
I think it helps to lean back a bit (heel side)
Try to keep your shoulders in line with the board
