How do I get used to it cause at the moment I'm hardly getting pop?

I recommend experimenting with fakie Ollies. They help you understand the physics of poping down while going in that direction. I found that skill quite helpful when I was learning Nollies.

I get higher pop by instead of popping straight down kind of popping forwards.
Just do them more and your leg will eventually get used to popping it. Maybe even try switch Ollies?
Try it not moving and holding on to something just so you can practice the movement and standing in switch and popping and dragging then once you have gotten use to switch and balancing try it moving slowly
