Not really. You just need to find your balance points.

For manuals I find it easier to have my foot slightly in from the tail or nose. It helps control balance by making your counter weight closer to the pivot point. My other foot is typically resting on the hardware. (Normal riding area)
It's better to do it how you feel comfortable and stable on board! Try to relax and pay less attention at balance, just chill 😌
Nope. They just gotta be where YOU are comfortable
How about putting your toes at the curving part of your nose and same with you back foot tilt you front foot about a 45° angle... It helps me a lot tho.
