Set your front foot in heelflip position with your toes hanging off the front of the board and have your popping foot set in the pocket of the tail. Have your popping foot set at an angle with your toes pointing away from you, this way you can shove more easily when popping the tail. When you rear down to pop the trick you will want to find your center (imagine you're sitting in a chair) then simultaneously pop and shove the board frontside as well as kicking your heel directly in front of you.
I have my front foot a bit lower than the heelflip it helps flick the board easier.
