A vault where the hand closest to the wall pushes off followed by the leg on the same side. When both legs are over, the opposite hand helps push away.
How do it
The thief vault is useful when the athlete wants to overcome an obstacle sideways or diagonally while running. This move is an alteration of the Lazy Vault.
1.
Approach the obstacle in parallel or diagonally
2.
Place the inside hand (the one closer to the obstacle) on top of the obstacle.
3.
Take off with the internal leg and swing the external leg over the object in an arch.
4.
Follow the external leg with your take off leg.
5.
Put your external hand on top of the obstacle too, behind your back.
6.
Land with your external leg first on the other side of the obstacle.
7.
Touchdown with your internal leg and push away from the object.
8.
Run out with split feet.
