A vault where you push off the obstacle with both hands into a 360° rotation over the obstacle.
How do it
During the reverse vault the practitioner rotates 360º, back-side, in mid air over an obstacle. It is mostly used for removing momentum, while still moving forwards over an obstacle. This move takes particular confidence and commitment, as it involves a possibly disorienting spin, so be careful when beginning this move.
1.
Run towards the obstacle at a controlled pace. The more speed you have, the faster you'll turn, so be careful not to run too fast and over‑rotate.
2.
Place one hand (usually the one on your strongest side) on the obstacle.
3.
Take off split legs, if you can, and tuck in your legs.
4.
Use the arm on the obstacle as a pivot to rotate back‑side of 360º.
5.
Push off with your pivot hand, and be ready to land.
