nice one ^^. But try to keep your Body low. That gives you a better look, more flow and cost less energy to come up :). And use your lefthand it stabilizes the trick and gives you information where your body is ^^
Thank you :) I will try it tomorrow, just letting you know I wasn't actually using my hands, I was making the jump without my hands but it's habit just to touch the bail :p I'm slowly getting out of it. I was trying to do the trick without hands :)
I was trying to completely clear the bail no hands :) hands were just a safety precaution
ouh without hands is also nice but than it's an obstacle vault ^^. I like the dash vault cause it's good looking and you lose less of momentum. If you need help for further tricks just let me know and I will see if I can help you :) ^^
Thank you so much,i didn't know the nAme of it
I'm front flipping flat land, I'm landing it, but I land crouched, I know I need more height so I can untuck my legs & land straight. Tips?
The best way to a Frontflip on a flat will probably be the Webster. The reason why it's such a big problem to land straight will be that you block your frontflip. If you block you can get much energy out of it but at the beginning you lose more energy than you can use. And here comes the Webster. A Webster works like this. 1. Take as much as you need to gain enough speed (at the beginning if you're advance you can do it on stand without speed ^^). 2.Do the Splitstep (Splitstep is to split your legs, jumpleg infront of swingleg). 3. Keep your upperbody low. 4. As you start jumping of you should use your swingleg and your arms to flip over. That means, as your upperbody is low you throw your swingleg up in the air and your arms are trying to throw something over your back forward. 5. As you throw your leg and arms you should strech out your breast like you are proud of something. 6. Last but not least, tuck amd land safty
you see it's complicated at the beginning but it's the best way to do a frontflip at the flat. Cause you can use the momentum further and it's healthier for your bones... and also looks very nice ^^
But what also helped me. .. I changed the way I tuck. If I jump from high hights with a frontflip then I tuck outside of my knees. And any other time... or flip... Sideflip, Webster, Tunelflip I tuck inside my knees. It looks much better, feels great aaaand for example if you're doing a Webster you cannot block yourself at landing ^^
I thought websters were way more harder? I've been landing my front flips, I've been running, then a lil skip jump, landing with my feet together, then using that momentum to flip myself, I do land it but I just don't think I have enough height but it may just be practice. I thought the Webster is a lot harder then the two footed front flip??
So you're maybe thinking that when I jump flatland I should try and land with my hands behind my knees rather than on top?
Do you straighten your body out like you do a back flip? Or tuck in like a front flip for the webster?
the Webster is harder but if you are abel to do the Webster than it is much easier then the blocked one and causes less momentum lost ^^ :). But if you feel more comfortable with the blocked Frontflip than you should try the Russian Frontflip :D. And the tuck problem... It depends on you. I feel more comfortable to tuck inside than outside but the change the way to tuck... uhm I recommend it to try other tuck ways if you feel safe enough at the flip you want to change the tuck. Especially when you have to learn flips like me ^^.. at the beginning I had no fluffy mats or something... only a lonly rock on a grasfield :D
Haha I drag a mattress outside and flip onto it :p well I'll definitely try different tucks with my blocked front flip, then once I'm happy with the different types, I'll try a Webster :) thank you, I'll look up Russian front flip, what's the difference?? :)
The Russian Frontflip is like... the result if Webster and the blocked Frontflip had a baby. xD. I recommend the Russian Front ONLY on flat... cause you gain a lot of swing momentum.. and every time I tried it from hights... I turn more then I need :D. So you know how a blocked one works.. and now you know how a Webster works... basically. You have to combine them... so... you start running and gain enough speed. As you are jumping into the block you start swing your arms from the back around in a circle till your arms at the back... probably st the beginning it will cause coordination problems but just try it. So the best point to block and flip the Russian Front is.. when you jump into the block, swing the arms from your back around and when they are at hip high you should block, jump, swing the arms further towards the are at your back and then tuck (best tuck here... is inside cause your arms are nearby the inside then the outside) and then.. kust try to land :D
at not st
I understood 3/4 of that :p only cause of spelling and no punctuation sorry, so. Once you've jumped into the block, are your arms back and swinging forward and up?
yeah they are back but you have to swing them completely aroud till they are at the back again ^^ "D
:D*
So when you jump up, they should be high in the sky, then when you go to flip, swing them back again?
I'll try it!
yeah probably something like that :D
it sounds more complicated than it is :F
I tried doing the Russian flip today, it feels super weird! But I think I can practice with it :)
yeah it's veeeery wired... but with enough practice it will be fine :)
