761 riders can do it
A traceur leans back, whips arms to one side to touch the obstacle, and the legs follow closely behind, twisting 360° to land on the ground.
How do it
The swipe is one of the basic breakdancing power moves. An athlete can use it in parkour when performing flow-work.
1.
This instruction is for an anti‑clockwise swipe (when you turn to your left). Remember: when you do a swipe, you always turn your torso 180, then stop and turn your legs 180 degrees. If you wanna do many swipes in a row, you just have to start over and twist your torso again after you finish twisting your legs, and keep going.
2.
Put your hands and feet on the ground with your body facing upwards. Lift your hips high, to create a 90 angle either around your knees or your shoulders (between your arms and chest).
3.
Turn to your left to strike (only do this when you start with your first swipe).
4.
Lean back and lift your left leg. Throw your right arm towards the left, over your chest and place your right hand on the ground.
5.
Also lift your right leg and turn your legs 180 with your hips. You should now be facing the ground.
6.
While your legs are still in mid‑air, rotate your hips another 180 degrees, you torso will follow automatically.
7.
Put down your right leg, landing in the same position where you started, and prepare for the next swipe.
