Jump up into the air with both wheels at one time.
How do it
Hop is one of the ways to jump over small bumps and obstacles if you have a tall frame and can't do a proper bunny hop. High speed is crucial for a successful jump. You can practice in an empty parking lot or basketball court.
1.
Lift up the front wheel — don't lean back, just pull the bar upwards by bending your arms.
2.
Lift the rear end — shift your weight forward, push down on the pedals and bend your knees.
3.
Combine the steps — crouch down like you're going to ride under a barrier, then quickly jump up and bend your elbows and knees at the highest point.
4.
The higher you pull the bike up, the higher you'll jump.
