You enter a slide by pushing the board forward with your back foot and then return to your stance.
How do it
A slide with your shoulders aimed in the direction of movement. Push your back leg forward to ride, then pull it back to your regular stance.
1.
Place your front foot in any comfortable position, at 45 degrees to the board axis. Your back foot should stand parallel to the rear trucks.
2.
Accelerate. If you're a regular footer, then carve to the left first, then to the right, then, bending your front knee and holding most of your weight over it, push you back leg forward while leaning back.
3.
Bend your front knee slightly and pull your back leg back.
