A slide performed while sitting down with your face forwards and the board turned 90° to the direction of travel
How do it
The sitdown check is a trick in which you perform a slide while sitting down.
1.
This trick is very nearly identical to the coleman slide, only here you don't use your hands. But your foot stance is the same as with the coleman.
2.
Sit down, keeping your body over the board, and lean back slightly. Your weight should be mostly over your front leg. Turn your shoulders down towards the slope, and use your torso to push your back leg forward. Now your weight should be divided equally between both legs. You can raise your arms for added balance.
3.
Make sure your shoulders don't turn to switch, or you'll end up doing a 180 instead of a check. Return your weight onto your front leg, tuck your back leg back underneath you, and return your shoulders to your normal stance.
