Heelside Blunt Check
Pro
·
310 riders can do it
A slide facing forwards on your rear truck while the front one is in the air, the board turned 90° to the direction of travel.
How do it
The frontside blunt check is the twin of the skateboarding blunt on the ledge. Only in our case we'll be performing the slide on one truck, by utilizing the kicktail.
1.
A board with a kicktail is required. You also need to know how to perform a heelside check. Your front foot should be in the center of the board, and your back leg should be on the kicktail.
2.
Accelerate, crouch down slightly, turn your shoulders down towards the slope and simultaneously push down on the kicktail, raising your front leg and shifting your weight off of it and onto your back leg — and pushing your back leg forward. All of this needs to be performed quickly.
3.
Return your shoulders to their original position, while simultaneously shifting your weight onto your front leg and turning the board to your normal stance.
