When I do it I get going fast but always end up just doing a 180 Coleman. I'm having trouble getting the board to swing back around. Advice?

Its all about your head and shoulder direction
As soo. As you start locking about your back shoulder, your boddy will tourn to and you stop going into 180 slide

Don't do the pendulum move, move the closest to straight in the sideway direction. Then, when sliding, try to lock a 90 degrees position, so you'll be in the right direction or really close when naturally stops sliding.
Coleman slide is a braking system, if u need to slide "twice" (160° + 160° in reverse) u need more speed to dissipate more kinetic energy than in one 180° Coleman slide. Use shoulders to come back in "standard position".
Keep your shoulders facing where you want to go
