I'm having a hard time landing on my board because when I flip it, it moves away from me a bit and it's kind of annoying. Any tips on that?

You do really need to scoop up. When I do this trick I normally put my toes at the edge of the board and lift like straight up. It'll keep the board close and flip very nicely. Try practicing the flip still, then do it while in motion

Try to scoop instead of kick, really emphasize the scoop up
