How do it
Frontflip is a heelside approach where the rider flips tail over nose. It's pretty hard trick as first you have to do a pop and only after start flip. This trick can be done unhooked or hooked in.
1.
Unhook, Focus on holding your back straight. Kite at 45 degrees. Time between unhooking and pop should be as short as possible.
2.
Bend your back leg to pop more properly.
3.
Take off is the key moment. During the pop bend your front knee and straight your back knee.
4.
Hold your body straight, until only the tail of the board is still in the water. After that initiate the front rotation, by throwing your head and shoulder toward the nose of the board. It's important to have a bit of delay before starting the rotation to have a high jump.
5.
To have a proper front flip and help rotation bring board over your head, knees slightly bent. Keep arms close to your body.
6.
Spot the landing.
7.
Straighten your body a little to stop rotation and land.
8.
On the landing bend your knees to absorb the impact.
9.
Point nose of the board downwind and hook in.
