A 360° rotation of a frame around the front end of your BMX.
How do it
Everybody loves tailwhips. Spin the frame on the ground first. The main idea is to it in front of you — just in the end of a trick you move your hands back to your waist. Always look at your bike while you do this trick.
1.
After leaving the ramp, begin to extend your arms and push the bars down.
2.
Swing your front foot back so that you can kick the bike with your back foot.
3.
Move the handlebars in a tight circular motion, keeping your arms straight, close to your body, and pointed downward. If you kick too early this will be difficult and your arms will be incorrectly pointed horizontally rather than vertically.
4.
As the bike comes around start extending your front foot and bending the back one.
5.
When the bike is under you, clamp your feet together and clamp whatever you can to land the tailwhip. Some people catch front foot first, some people catch both feet at the same time. It is important to wear shin‑guards so you won’t be afraid of committing to landing on the pedals.
