How do it
A tap is a rear wheel stand. It's performed onto a quarter table. Many beginners find tail tap easier than a regular jump out of the quarter.
1.
Jump onto narrow table. Make sure you're riding up in a arc or going alley‑oop. This way your inertia will be directed in the direction of the spin, making your rotation easier.
2.
Now try landing on your rear wheel. While in the air, shift your weight to the rear. Keep your arms straight and balance with your legs. The lower you jump out of the quarter, the easier it will be to land on your rear wheel and find your balance.
3.
The moment you land, catch your balance by changing the tension of your chain, i.e pushing by pushing down on your front pedal.
4.
To exit, lean into the quarter slightly. This should pull you towards your exit naturally. The major mistakes beginners make with this trick is over‑spinning on entry and poor leg work. You spin should be very limited. Your body should be in manual position. The lower your front wheel is and the lower you squat down, the less you'll need to rely on your chain and the easier it'll be to control the movement.
