Every time I start going backwards, I fall left or right. How do I stop this?

Lean further back.. and practice, the more u do it the more balance you will get

Just keep practicing. Make sure everything is tight and consistent and just improve your bike control in general.

Look at your front wheel as you go backwards and what ever way your leaning turn the opposite
