Really bend your knees and elbows on impact to absorb as much of the impact as you can. Try to go really low as it will put less pressure on your joints. By the way, manning up is bullshit as joints can get some serious impact on them. So yeah absorb as much as you can

no real special way but it helps me if i hole the bars tight
Bend your knees and your arms
after you get your max height start to straighten the rear legs and then compress again to absorb the bump. same for the arms: start to straighten after apex and the compress to suck up the shock
Land back wheel first and absorb the rest of the impact with your arms and legs by bending your knees and elbows
You can ride with lower tire pressure, “sink in” with the landing by slowly lowering yourself when you land, or, try not push your bars down and instead push forwards.
Let your body absorb the shock
Bend your knees
Absorb the shock with your legs rather than your wrist
Smoothly bow your knies.
