A grind on the rear peg only, front wheel and peg are balanced in the air.
How do it
An ice pick is a grind on the rear peg. The trick is similar to a manual, but is a little harder to balance due to peg friction. Wax the ledge/rail for a smoother grind. Start off on straight surfaces, inclined legdes/rails will come later. Begin learning the trick by placing the bike pegs on a ledge/rail, standing on the pedals and lifting the front wheel. Practice holding your balance on the rear peg. Next move to the grind itself. First try doing it near the end of a ledge/rail and then work on increasing your distance. Be cautious when entering this grind, don't lift your front wheel too high up, as the bike may fly out from under you.
1.
First try grinding at a low speed. Ride parallel to the ledge or rail, do a vertical bunny hop to the side, as if going for a manual.
2.
You need to land on the ledge or rail with your rear peg. As soon as the peg touches, tense up and slightly straighten your legs, pushing the bike forward. Now bend your knees, move your bum back, straighten and tense your arms — just like when doing a manual.
3.
Keep your front wheel relatively straight and parallel to the rail. Don't bring it over the edge (like in a feeble), as this will create tension between the rail/ledge and the rear tire and you will not be able to keep balance.
4.
After grinding some distance, do a side bunny hop or ride off the edge of the rail/ledge. This is how you exit an icepick.
