A basic grind, when your front wheel rides along the ledge, while your rear peg grinds on it.
How do it
A basic, beginner's grind. It's simple and can be performed on any bike with pegs installed. What you do is have your front wheel ride along the ledge, while your rear peg grinds on it.
1.
Try doing this grind at a very slow speed, or even simply place your bike on the ledge, get onto the pedals and get a feel for your stance.
2.
Now ride parallel to the ledge, do a simple sideways bunny hop and land with your front wheel and rear peg on the ledge. Keep your front wheel parallel to the ledge, about 3-10 centimeters away from the edge — this way the rear peg will not slide off.
3.
When you land on the ledge, cushion with your arms and legs, just as you would for any grind. Keep your bike straight, it's shouldn't be tilting to either side. Hold your body weight over the bike, directing it just a little bit forward.
4.
Grind and hold your balance. Once you feel yourself slowing down or tilting to the side, do a regular side hop away from the ledge.
