Luc-e Grind

A grind on the rear peg and front pedal while the front end of the bike is "dipped" so that the front wheel is below the grind surface.
How do it
For this trick you need to know how to do a double peg! The luc-e grind is performed on the front foot pedal and rear peg, with the front wheel going lower than the rail/ledge and turned to the side, away from the obstacle. We recommend doing this trick with plastic pedals, which slide a lot easier. Be prepared for some wear and abuse on the pedals — pick one side for the grind and one side for your foot to minimise overall damage. Go onto the rail from your front foot side.
1.
Put your bike in double peg and get on the pedals. Now move your front wheel to the side and turn it away from the ledge. Get a feel for standing on the front pedal and rear peg only — this is the luc-e position in which you will be performing the grind.
2.
Cover the rail or ledge with wax for an easier slide.
3.
Now let's try to enter the trick. Ride up slowly (for now). Ride parallel to the ledge or rail and do a regular bunny hop, almost as if for a double peg, only moving your front wheel away from the ledge and leaning back. You need to simultaneously land on your pedal and rear peg.
4.
As soon as you land on the ledge, push down on the pedal to keep the front wheel in the air — otherwise it will go down and you risk falling forward. Straighten your arms and shift your body weight all the way back and slightly towards the ledge. Grind and work on gradually building up your speed.
5.
You can exit the trick by pushing down on the pedal at the end of the ledge and simultaneously lifting your front wheel, or simply by hoping to the side.
