Balancing on your front wheel without turning pedals.
How do it
The nose manual is one of the most challenging front wheel stands.
1.
The first thing you need to cover when learning the nose manual is how to jump off from one. I.e. how to bail. So start off by going over your front wheel and jumping forward off the bike. Don’t hurry to execute — the sooner in the movement you try to bail, the more chances you have of falling down. At this stage, the best place to practice wound be a lawn or any soft surface. Keep your arms slightly bent, and at the peak of the movement, throw out the handlebars downward and backward. This will make stepping over the handlebars much easier.
2.
Now that you know how to jump off, let’s try to hold balance a little longer. The secret here is understanding which movements help you retain balance. During a nose manual, your entire body is involved. Your arms, legs, hips and even your head! You can also try taking off your front wheel and balancing on the dropouts.
