You can learn the double backflip by practicing a number of lead-in exercises — various combinations of backflips and back jumps or landings.

One of the first exercises is the back‑to‑back backflip.

Another is a backflip and a half, landing on your back.

When attempting the full double backflip, don't forget to push off strictly upward. Under no circumstance should you try to compromise the launch in order to gain headway on the spin.
