A vault over a rail or thin wall with a 180° turn and landing on the other side of the obstacle.
How do it
The turn vault is one of the most useful and necessary vaults in parkour. This move provides a fast and safe way to move on the opposite edge of an obstacle, allowing you to stop on that side if needed.
1.
Approach the obstacle perpendicularly.
2.
Place both hands on the obstacle, using the undergrip for one of them.
3.
Take off both feet aiming to go on the other side of the obstacle.
4.
Once you begin the vault, the hand and arm with the undergrip will not move, and they will be used as a pivot for your rotation.
5.
Lift your legs sideways and tuck them in.
6.
Let go the opposite hand of the undergrip hand.
7.
Rotate your body around your pivot arm.
8.
Match your pivot hand with the hand you let go before.
9.
Bend your knees and land on the other side of the obstacle with both feet.
